Gravity sample. Gravity tells us how much sugar the wort contains that has the potential to become alcohol. Of course, not all of it will become alcohol or else it would be a hard liquor.

The airlock at the top will bubble letting us know carbon dioxide is forming and fermentation is taking place. In 2 weeks we will have hefeweizen and grown yeast for weizenbock!


It is our tradition to drink a beer after DH brews. We picked up this unique Banana Bread beer in California; they use fair trade bananas. Sold!
