Indulging in Excess

It all started with a simple recipe for hazelnut ice cream.     

It's not properly frozen yet

 

We wound up with a ton of chopped hazelnut left over and didn’t want to throw it away, so we made hazelnut coffee cake (again).

Somehow this turned into baking chocolate chip cookies and finding a tree to steal from!  Maybe figs are included in our science center membership…    

I can’t even remember what we ate for dinner, just that we had a lot of dessert.  So much it almost put me off re-seeding the garden.  But bird drama has taken its toll so I had to.
